Jeff Brooker is a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law by the South Carolina Supreme Court. Mr. Brooker strives to find practical, economic solutions for the planning needs of his clients. His expertise lies in tax planning for individuals and business including estate planning, tax planning for businesses and dealing with controversies with governmental tax authorities, federal and state.
Mr. Brooker is a regionally known attorney who has been included on the Best Lawyers in America list by U.S. News and World Report since 2012 because of his reputation for providing thorough and thoughtful advice to his clients. Prior to relocating to Columbia in 1998, Mr. Brooker lived and worked in Houston, Texas while earning his Master of Laws degree in Taxation from the University of Houston.
Associate Attorney, Aaron M. Scheuer, Esq.
Aaron Scheuer principally practices in the areas of business law, taxation, and estate planning. Mr. Scheuer advises individuals and businesses on a range of transactional tax and planning matters and routinely represents clients in various federal, state, and local tax controversy matters.
Mr. Scheuer’s practice also includes advising companies in economic development matters, tax incentives, and alcohol beverage regulation. Mr. Scheuer earned his LL.M. in Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Scheuer worked as a Tax Policy Manager for the South Carolina Department of Revenue most recently before joining the Brooker Law Firm, P.A.
